Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Northamptonshire is seeking a Wiring Harness Technician. The role involves working on prestigious Motorsport and prototype Automotive projects, including assembly and fault finding on prototype engines and ECUs. Ideal candidates will have experience with Raychem products and Deutsch connectors. A compelling opportunity in a growing company with a clean and well-invested workshop awaits you.

Qualifications

  • Experience in wiring/harness manufacturing using Raychem products and Deutsch AutoSport connectors.
  • Electrical/electronic engineering background to HNC/ONC level or similar is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Work on harnesses for prototype engines and ECUs, including assembly and fault finding at component level.
  • Support production of complete new harnesses/looms and systems for various automotive and motorsport applications.
  • Operate in a workshop environment ranging from live test cells to production-style settings.

Skills

Experience in wiring/harness manufacturing using Raychem products

Education

Overview

Wiring Harness Technician – £41,000 per annum – Northamptonshire. Hours: 7.30 to 4.30 Mon to Thur and 7.30 to 3.30 Fri.

This position offers the opportunity to work on projects ranging from prestigious Motorsport to prototype Automotive projects and everything in between, including reactive fault finding down to component level (actuators, wiring looms/harnesses, sensors) and the production of complete new harnesses/looms and systems. Work on harnesses used for prototype engines and ECUs in live test cells or in a production-style environment, providing a varied workload.

The company is a leader in its field with high-quality products across Motorsport, F1, Automotive, Marine and Aerospace. The business is growing, with production expected to double in the next couple of years and with progression and personal development opportunities. The workshop is immaculate and has recently received investment, with more planned.
