Job description

Manpower Belfast are proud to be working with a government body to provide Gritter Drivers for the winter service in the Ballymena area. These seasonal roles will commence in October and run until mid-April.

The Role

You will be working on an on‑call basis, following a three‑week rotational shift pattern:

• Week One: AM Shift (00:00 - 12:00)
• Week Two: PM Shift (12:00 - 24:00)
• Week Three: Rest week – no on‑call duties

Pay & Benefits

• Hourly rate: Pay rate up to £31.20 (depending on shift and day worked)
• On‑call allowance: £166.50 per week (paid regardless of whether you are called out to grit)
• Each grit usually lasts 3‑4 hours
