Job summary

Avolon M&E is recruiting a Window Installation Manager to lead installation teams across Portsmouth and surrounding areas. The role focuses on coordinating labour, materials and programme delivery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager, ensuring installations stay on programme, meet required standards, and that sites run smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications

• Strong experience within window and door installation.
• Previous experience supervising or managing installation teams.
• Good practical knowledge of window and door replacement works.
• Experience in social housing, local authority or refurbishment environments is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate labour, materials and programme requirements.

Responsibilities

• Managing and coordinating window and door installation teams across live sites.
• Allocating daily works and ensuring installation programmes remain on track.
• Coordinating materials and deliveries to ensure teams have everything required.
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring completed installations meet required standards.
• Monitoring progress and providing updates to the Contracts Manager.
• Ensuring operatives work safely in accordance with RAMS and site procedures.
• Identifying and reporting site issues, variations and potential delays.
• Liaising with site teams, residents and other stakeholders as required.
• Providing practical, hands-on support to installation teams when necessary.

Window Installation Manager - Portsmouth

Location: Portsmouth & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £38,000 per annum + Company Van

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

An established contractor specialising in window and door replacement programmes is looking to recruit an experienced Window Installation Manager for a major long-term programme of works across the Portsmouth area.

This is a hands-on, site-based position suited to someone with a strong background in window and door installation who has progressed into supervising or managing installation teams.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of installation works, ensuring operatives, materials and deliveries are coordinated effectively and that works are completed safely, on programme and to the required standard.

The Role

Working closely with the Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating window and door installation teams across live sites
• Allocating daily works and ensuring installation programmes remain on track
• Coordinating materials and deliveries to ensure teams have everything required
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring completed installations meet required standards
• Monitoring progress and providing regular updates to the Contracts Manager
• Ensuring operatives work safely and in accordance with RAMS and site procedures
• Identifying and reporting site issues, variations and potential programme delays
• Liaising with site teams, residents and other stakeholders where required
• Providing practical, hands-on support to installation teams when necessary

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Strong experience within window and door installation
• Previous experience supervising or managing installation teams
• Good practical knowledge of window and door replacement works
• Experience working within social housing, local authority, residential or refurbishment environments would be advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate labour, materials and programme requirements
• A practical, hands-on approach to site management
• Good communication skills and the ability to manage installation teams effectively
• Valid CSCS card - essential
• Full UK driving licence - essential
• SSSTS or SMSTS - desirable
