Responsibilities
- Assist with the resolution of onsite technical issues and implement technical improvements.
- Take and lead main component replacements.
- Identify and specify tooling requirements.
- Conduct technical auditing and assessments.
- Prepare reporting templates and other technical documentation.
- Develop and deliver specific in‑house technical training.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve ongoing issues and implement improvements as part of the Turbine O&M Team.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system faults using good analytical fault‑finding capabilities.
- Prepare risk assessments, method statements and other client‑required procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers on site, maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental awareness.
- Travel within the UK & Ireland as required by project needs.
- Co‑ordinate subcontractors and work at height as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in wind turbine maintenance, preferably with Siemens technology.
- Experience with large component exchange and blade repair.
- Working knowledge of gearbox inspections.
- Working knowledge of specialised equipment such as vibration analysis, ultrasonic testing, bore scope and thermal imaging.
- Proficiency in analytical fault finding (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic).
- Use of hydraulic tooling.
- Team leader experience or willingness to lead.
- Use of Microsoft Office applications and reporting.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, or equivalent.
- Health and Safety awareness (RA, CoSSH, MS).
- WTSR or mechanical/electrical fault finding skills.
- Experience operating slinger banks.
