About the Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Wills and Probate Paralegal to join a leading Yorkshire law firm with over 20 branches across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate with a keen interest in probate to start their professional career and gain valuable experience in wills and probate matters within a supportive team environment.

The Role
  • Case assistance and support : Assisting lawyers with their caseloads of wills and probate matters from file opening to completion under supervision
  • Document preparation : Preparing wills probate applications and estate administration documentation to the highest professional standards
  • Client communication : Maintaining regular contact with clients throughout the probate process providing updates and gathering necessary information
  • Estate administration : Assisting with the administration of estates including asset valuations inheritance tax calculations and distribution of assets
  • Legal research : Conducting research into probate law estate planning and inheritance matters to support case progression
  • File management : Maintaining comprehensive and accurate case files in accordance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Court applications : Preparing and submitting probate court applications and supporting documentation
  • Client care excellence : Delivering high standards of client care whilst working accurately and efficiently
  • Professional development : Participating in ongoing on-the-job training and supervision to increase knowledge and experience
  • Administrative support : Providing general administrative support to the wills and probate team as required
