Job Description
We are looking for a Private Client Solicitor to join the Ripley office of a well-respected East Midlands practice serving clients for over 130 years.
What you’ll be doing :
- Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection cases.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and external contacts.
- Uphold and promote the firm’s positive image and reputation.
- Support colleagues, Directors, and Heads of Department with marketing, training, and other initiatives.
- Supervise and assist junior and support staff, including recruitment and training where required.
- Use case management, billing, and financial systems effectively.
- Work flexibly to complete tasks and undertake other duties as appropriate.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration across the firm.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR requirements.
- Adhere to firm policies on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Health and Safety, and Anti-Money Laundering.
Requirements
What we’re looking for :
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 5–10 years PQE in Private Client matters
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Experienced in managing workloads, meeting deadlines, and achieving billing targets
- Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and contacts
- Excellent written and verbal communication, methodical, accurate, and IT proficient
- Empathetic, client-focused, self-motivated, and proactive
- Good understanding of AML and GDPR requirements
- Alignment with the firm’s ethos and heritage
- Satisfactory DBS, credit, reference, and ID checks.
