Job summary

Co-op Legal Services is seeking a Will Writer to draft wills and related estate planning documents, and to provide client-focused support throughout case progression.

You will pro-actively engage with clients, draft documents with care, and manage cases remotely from anywhere in the UK, with on-site options available at our offices.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting wills and advising on estate planning matters.
• Ability to take client instructions and draft wills across varying levels of complexity.
• Proven ability to manage cases and meet billing/productivity targets.
• Strong client relationship skills and commitment to high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Document and write wills of various complexity, powers of attorney and other estate planning docs.
• Communicate with clients and external partners via phone and written channels.
• Manage incoming caseload and coordinate with involved parties to complete cases.
• Maintain client records and correspondence in our systems ensuring compliance.

• or on site at our offices if preferred We're looking for Will Writers and experienced estate planning paralegals to join our team.

From start to finish, you'll pro-actively engage with clients and manage their estate planning cases, whilst taking the time to understand each client's needs and draft wills and other important documents with care.

You'll be there to offer support and guidance remotely, providing the best service to our clients.

What you'll do

• Document and write wills of various complexity, write powers of attorney and other estate planning documentation, making sure all paperwork is accurate and professionally written
• Communicate with clients and external partners via the phone and written communication throughout each case
• Manage an incoming case load and work with those parties involved towards the successful completion of a case
• Accurately maintain client records and correspondence on our systems, making sure that all compliance and regulatory standards are met What you'll bring We're committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria.

To thrive here, you'll need to bring:

• Previous experience of drafting wills and advising clients relating to estate planning matters, as well as taking client instructions
• Proven experience of drafting wills across a range of complexities, including more technically complex estate planning matters
• Proven experience of managing cases of varying complexities and achieving billing and productivity targets
• The ability to build positive relationships and a passion for providing outstanding customer service
• A high level of attention to detail
