Job summary

NatureScot is seeking a Wildlife Management Support Officer on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. The role supports the Licensing team in delivering statutory licensing functions and deer management policy across Scotland.

The post includes hybrid working, a 35-hour week, and a salary of £30,076. You will coordinate licence applications, assist with processing, and prepare data and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience gathering, handling, storing and disseminating information and data, including running reports.
• Ability to work well in a small team and as part of a dispersed team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt of licence applications and upload to licensing database.
• Assist with processing licence applications per NatureScot policies.
• Run licence return reports and follow up on missing returns; record non-compliance.
