Enfield Music Service is looking for motivated and engaging tutors to lead whole class violin/viola lessons in primary schools in the London Borough of Enfield, with confirmed work available from January 2026.

Enfield Music Service has a large number of freelance self-employed instrumental and vocal tutors working in schools throughout the borough, as well as at our Evening and Saturday Centres, delivering a range of provision including one‑to‑one and small group lessons, whole class instrumental and vocal programmes, and ensemble support.

Applicants to join the EMS tutor panel should be enthusiastic and committed teachers, with a strong playing ability, who are passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences to children and young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

Whole class instrumental teaching work is paid at £33.60 per hour, with an additional 30 minutes prep time paid on top of the contact time weekly, and termly planning time for tutors leading programmes.

We recognise that tutors are the front line of our service and we also provide regular paid professional development opportunities and support throughout the year, as well as mentoring for new tutors.
