Job summary

Currys is seeking a White Goods Engineer to service customers in Pontypridd and surrounding areas. The role is full-time, on-site, with a company van provided. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and build strong customer relationships in customers' homes.

The ideal candidate has proven White Goods repair experience, a full UK/EU driving licence and ACS gas safety qualifications are a plus. Competitive benefits include a generous leave and pension scheme.

• Full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• ACS Qualifications (or equivalent) in Essential Gas Safety Domestic (CCN1), Gas Cookers and Ranges (CKR1) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company van and manage your day-to-day work solo.
• Test, diagnose and fix white goods in customers' homes.
• Provide and apply technical knowledge across a range of appliances.

Salary : 33,000 - 35,000 per annum (OTE 32k - 38k) increasing to 35,000 - 40,000 per annum (OTE 35k - 41k) for Gas qualified
Shift Pattern : Average of 41 hours per week working 5 over 7 (some Saturday working on a rostered basis) - Mon-Fri / Tues-Sat , No Sundays!
Areas covered : NP, CF, SA,HR,GL

Role overview:

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving your company van and managing your own day effectively (as you’ll work mainly on your own).
• Testing, diagnosing and fixing white goods in our customers’ homes.
• Providing and implementing technical knowledge across a range of white goods appliances.
• Building up our reputation as a home services expert.

A lot of the job comes down to skill and efficiency, but building a rapport with customers is just as important. They will welcome you into their homes, and it’ll be down to you to get their products back on track and put their minds at ease.

You will need:

• Proven experience in White Goods repairs.
• Full UK/EU driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ideally (but not essential) ACS Qualifications (or equivalent) in Essential Gas Safety Domestic (CCN1), Gas Cookers and Ranges (CKR1).
• To love that feeling when you’ve delivered for a customer.
