Job summary

Interaction Recruitment PLC is seeking a Driver Mate in Stevenage to join a two-person delivery team focused on white goods installation and onboarding. You will work with a 3.5-tonne delivery driver to ensure safe delivery, installation, and customer satisfaction.

The role starts early, with a 6:30am start, and operates on a 5 days on, 3 days off pattern. Heavy lifting and customer-facing service are essential, with overtime paid after 45 hours.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hardworking, and physically fit.
• Experience with heavy lifting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work well in a two-person delivery team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Previous delivery or white goods installation experience would be beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install white goods (washing machines, fridges, freezers, etc.).
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Help manoeuvre appliances into customers’ homes.
• Work as part of a two-person delivery team to ensure smooth handovers.
• Provide a friendly, professional service to customers.
