Job summary

JMC Aviation Limited in Chelmsford is looking for a Wet Treatment Operator to perform pre-paint chemical treatments on Aluminium, Stainless-Steel and Titanium parts. The role includes jigging for Chromate Conversion and Chromic/Sulphuric/Tartaric Sulphuric anodizing, among other surface treatments, with a Monday-Thursday 07:00–16:00 schedule and Friday 07:00–12:00.

You will follow clear job-card instructions, handle components of varying sizes, and adhere to LOLER/PUWER safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace Wet Treatments Processing (Chromic Acid Anodizing and Chromate Conversion in particular) is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Work to simple instructions provided on job cards and supporting documentation
• Manual handling of both small and large aircraft components will be required
• Adherence to health and safety requirements in terms of LOLER and PUWER
• Team player but able to carry out extra overtime hours as required
• Flexible with multi-skilling and growth in Wet Treatments processing and other areas of the business
• Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the company

Job Purpose
To carry out a range of pre-paint chemical treatments on Aluminium, Stainless-Steel and Titanium components. Processes include jigging of components for Chromate Conversion and Chromic/Sulphuric/Tartaric Sulphuric Anodizing among other Surface Treatments.
Main responsibilities and duties

• Work to simple instructions provided on job cards and supporting documentation
• Manual handling of both small and large aircraft components will be required
• Adherence to health and safety requirements in terms of LOLER and PUWER
• To be a team player that can carry out extra overtime hours as and when required by the business
• To be flexible and have a can-do attitude towards multi-skilling and growth in both the Wet Treatments processing and other areas of the business
• Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the company
• Experience in Aerospace Wet Treatments Processing (Chromic Acid Anodizing and Chromate Conversion in particular) is particularly advantageous
• A self-motivated Operator is required with a great work ethic towards assigned tasks
• A team player that is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the business achieves its set targets
