Project: 70M Purpose-Built Student Accommodation, Wembley

Role: Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Acting as part of the commercial team on a 70 million purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Wembley, overseeing full commercial management from procurement through to final account. Responsibilities include managing subcontractor packages, change control, cost forecasting, valuations, and monthly CVRs to maintain strong financial performance and contractual compliance under a JCT contract.

The project consists of a multi-block high-rise student accommodation development, incorporating over 1,000 beds, retail space, and extensive amenity areas, delivered on a tight city-centre site with complex logistics. In addition to managing procurement and commercial reporting, the role involves close collaboration with the client and design teams to manage variations, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain programme delivery. Leadership and mentoring of junior surveyors form an integral part of this position within a progressive and fast-paced main contracting environment.
