Job description

Ydych chi’n siarad Cymraeg ac yn awyddus i weithio mewn ysgol gynradd?

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Welsh-medium primary schools across Cardiff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for fluent Welsh speakers who are passionate about education and want to help children develop their confidence, communication and learning skills through the medium of Welsh.

Whether you have previous experience working in a school or are looking to gain experience in education, we would love to hear from you.

The role:

• Support teaching and learning through the medium of Welsh.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils develop their Welsh language skills and confidence.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and positive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be fluent in Welsh and confident communicating with pupils through the medium of Welsh.
• Have a genuine interest in working with children.
• Be patient, caring, proactive and reliable.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Have previous experience working with children or in a school setting (desirable, but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
