Job summary

Itec Skills and Employment is seeking a Welsh Language Officer and Marketing Support to strengthen our Welsh language commitment through bilingual content creation, translation, and network-building. You will assist the Marketing Executive with case studies, video content, and social posts in English and Welsh, supporting marketing strategy for contract delivery.

You will translate internal communications and help raise the company's Welsh-language profile while supporting learning opportunities

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent (or higher).
• The ability to speak Welsh is required.
• Full driving licence with use of own vehicle.
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with marketing to create Welsh-language content and social posts.
• Translate and write case studies, blogs, and videos in English and Welsh.
• Support marketing activities to raise the company profile and contract delivery.
• Develop Welsh-language marketing materials and literature.
• Represent the company at Welsh-language meetings and events.
• Ensure Welsh-language accessibility on the company website and resources.
• Assist with social media content creation, scheduling, and case studies.

About the role

The Welsh Language Officer & Marketing Support will support the business’ Welsh commitment through content creation, translation, and networking. They will support the Marketing Executive with writing case studies, creating videos, and writing social media posts in English and Welsh, as well as working towards the marketing strategy that supports contract delivery and raises the overall profile of the business.

Your impact

• Collaborate with the Marketing Executive to create positive news stories promoting Welsh language and culture.
• Produce engaging video content for ‘Welsh Wednesdays.’
• Represent the company at external Welsh-language meetings.
• Identify opportunities to promote the Welsh language and culture internally and externally.
• Assist in developing Welsh-language marketing materials and literature.
• Support operational teams in promoting Welsh-language resources and learning opportunities.
• Work with HR to deliver the Welsh action plan and projects funded by the Welsh promotion grant (Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol).
• Translate internal communications, social media posts, and blogs into Welsh.
• Writing and translating social media posts and blogs into the Welsh language.
• Ensure Welsh-language accessibility on the company website.
• Maintain Welsh-language access to key internal policies and documents.
• Assisting with any other Marketing related tasks to support the Marketing Executive and the team, including but not limited to social media content creation and scheduling, case study collection and creation.
