Job summary

A local mental health organization is seeking a Wellbeing Worker to support the physical health and wellbeing of individuals. The role requires a solid understanding of mental health issues and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ideal candidates will have experience in mental health environments and excellent interpersonal skills. The position offers a full-time contract based in Oxford with some travel required. Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the needs of those with mental health problems.
  • Experience in safeguarding children and adults.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals/groups in identifying their own goals.
  • Assist in personal wellbeing and recovery.
  • Communicate effectively within the team to ensure quality service.

Wellbeing Worker: Physical Health and Wellbeing

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: 26010 - 27993 (salary dependent on skills experience and knowledge)

Contract: Permanent

Base: John Sharich House Slade Hospital Site Horspath Driftway Headington Oxford OX3 7JH with travel around the county including home visits

  • Knowledge and understanding of mental health issues and the needs of people living with mental health problems
  • An understanding of good practice in safeguarding Children and Adults
  • Experience of working within mental health wellbeing or similar environments
  • Experience of working in a demanding environment
  • Experience of working as part of a team and communicating effectively
  • Experience of working with individuals/groups enabling them to identify their own goals to support personal wellbeing and recovery and helping them to pursue these
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyExcellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to confidently use IT systems and software at a basic level.
  • Good planning and organisational skills
  • Knowledge/Understanding of our values
