Turning Point's drug & alcohol services are expanding during a very exciting time with new funding and investment. We offer a range of roles for people passionate about supporting others to make change.

Roles and Responsibilities

We offer roles across several teams:

  • Community based treatment services – assessment, coordination and psychological interventions in both group and one‑to‑one settings.
  • Homeless outreach provision – flexible outreach to homeless individuals sleeping rough or in temporary accommodation.
  • Criminal Justice rehabilitation/recovery – working with Probation, Prisons and Police to deliver rapid, tailored responses; recovery workers act as key workers managing a caseload of service users, providing assessments, risk‑management planning and psycho‑social interventions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular contact with clients and support them to set and achieve treatment goals.
  • Provide psycho‑social interventions, assessments and risk‑management planning.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and partner agencies on prescribing needs.
  • Communicate effectively with a range of service users and colleagues and manage multiple tasks.
Qualifications and Experience

We welcome those with lived experience of substance use, mental health or homelessness; experience in health and social care; or a strong interest in supporting this group. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, knowledge of relapse barriers and a commitment to Turning Point values.

Benefits and Remuneration
  • Starting salary £27,377 + £3,633 IWL, rising annually in line with our salary bands to £32,026 + £3,633 ILW.
