A local educational authority in Lewes is seeking a Well-being Practitioner to promote mental health among students. The role involves identifying students in need and implementing support interventions. This is a part-time position during term time, focused on enhancing the well-being of vulnerable groups, including Looked After Children and those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Candidates should be committed to creating a positive working environment and supporting student development.
We are looking for a Well-being Practitioner to start asap. 29.6 hours per week, term-time only. The hours are equivalent to 4 days a week but can be worked over 5 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for the promotion of positive mental health, identifying students whose patterns of attendance or behaviour might indicate a cause for concern, to closely monitor groups of students more vulnerable to mental health difficulties, for example Looked After Children (LAC), children with SEN, children from disadvantaged backgrounds, to run interventions to support students and to support students with an alternative curriculum.
