A supportive mental health organization is seeking a Wellbeing Group Volunteer to assist in a residential service in Ansdell. You will engage with staff and residents, facilitate group activities, and promote mental wellness within the community. The role requires empathy, an understanding of mental health, and the ability to build meaningful relationships. This volunteer position offers flexible hours between 4-8 per week, making a significant impact on the lives of those we support.

We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
4-8 hours per week, with option for one full day or two half days
Windsor House is a 24hr service which offers 11 beds to people aged 18yrs and over experiencing mental ill health. Every resident has a mental health individual rehabilitation intervention plan, such as social anxiety, anxiety, financial, learning disabilities support, positive self-image, dietary, healthy eating, medication, sleep hygiene, DBT facilitating self-help, anger management, building resilience, life skills, solution-based therapy stress management.
This exciting volunteer role would suit someone with an empathetic, open-minded attitude who can built strong working relationships with others as part of a holistic approach to improving overall health and wellbeing of the people we support. The role would be ideal for someone who has a good understanding of mental health and / or lived experience and has a strong understanding and application of professional boundaries. A Wellbeing Group Volunteer will attend the service frequently to engage with the staff and people the service supports, offering assistance with group sessions and supporting people accessing the service.
