Job summary

Citizens Advice Mid Mercia is hiring a Wellbeing Coach for the Living Well Derbyshire/Derby Wellbeing Service. You will support people to identify goals, build resilience and improve mental wellbeing through coaching and recovery-focused support in local communities.

The role offers hybrid working with some office and home days, full training, and progression opportunities. Salary is £24,822 per year with 37.5 hours weekly and a contract through 30 November 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with mental health needs, including serious mental illness.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk identification.
• Approach is non-directive, strength-based and recovery-focused.
• Ability to balance promoting rights, supporting individuals and working with a multi-agency team.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multi-agency team to safeguard individuals and help them achieve goals.
• Provide coaching support 1:1 or in groups.
• Help individuals capture goals and design a journey of support.
• Encourage feedback from people about their experiences.
• Provide emotional and practical support to build confidence and self-management of wellbeing.
