Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to join South Lodge Care Home in Leicester. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities that engage residents physically, cognitively, and socially.

You will help maintain a safe environment, report changes in residents’ condition, assist with supplies for activities, and build links with the local community to encourage intergenerational activity.

About the Role

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome.
• Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
• Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

• Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
