Job summary

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home in Chertsey to help engage residents and support wellbeing with a variety of activities.

You’ll work with the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide activities that stimulate physical, cognitive and social wellbeing, while maintaining a safe environment and building

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understand role in residents' wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and ability to run stimulating activities.
• Experience with older people in residential nursing Dementia settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
• Reporting any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
• Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

About The Role

As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
