Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Birchwood Grange Care Home in Harrow. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator by delivering a broad program of activities that promote physical, cognitive and social well-being for residents.

We seek warm, enthusiastic individuals with strong communication, a caring approach and previous experience with older people, including dementia care. DBS disclosure is required and eligibility to work in the UK must be proven.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction affects well-being.
• Positive attitude toward older people in care.
• Experience with residents in dementia care settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment.
• Report changes in residents' condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for activities.
• Build links with local community to promote intergenerational activity.
