Job summary

GP Training Practice in South Somerset is seeking a General Practitioner to join a genuinely manageable workload with strong MDT support and mentoring for newly qualified GPs. The role offers a structured clinical model designed for workload safety and collaboration, with the backing of a larger organisation and a supportive team.

There are no evenings or weekends, with 4+ sessions per week and a 50/50 split between face-to-face and telephone consultations.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with GMC registration (UK)
• Experience in a GP practice setting and appetite for training roles
• Comfort with triage-based duties and non-clinical supervision

Responsibilities

• 4+ sessions per week with 12 patients per session
• Deliver both face-to-face and telephone consultations (approx. 50/50)
• Participate in a triage-based duty system
• Provide strong mentoring and support for newly qualified GPs
• Collaborate with MDT including Mental Health team, ANPs, OT, GP Assistant and nursing team
