Heanor Gate Spencer Academy is seeking an enthusiastic mentor to join our pastoral team, supporting students across achievement and wellbeing initiatives. The role involves providing practical and emotional support, mainly on a 1-1 basis, plus small bespoke interventions to raise wellbeing and aspirations.
You will work within our Trust environment, promoting equality and diversity and helping learners overcome personal barriers to reach their full potential.
We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and reliable individual to work across the achievement team and our newly formed well-being team. The successful applicant will provide a range of practical and emotional support strategies to the students and their wider family/carer networks. As a member of the wider pastoral team, the mentor will provide higher level support for students to help overcome personal barriers and improve their social, emotional, mental health and well-being.
The individual will be required to support young people on a 1-1 basis but also through small bespoke interventions.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who shares our ethos of supporting all learners to achieve their full potential and raises aspiration.
