A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to support their Wellbeing Coordinator. This role involves engaging residents in various activities to promote their physical and social well-being. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills and a positive attitude towards older people, along with prior experience in a residential nursing Dementia setting. Shift patterns include alternate weekends and variable hours.

Overview

The Wellbeing and Activities Assistant role is focused on supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being.

Job responsibilities
  • Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering activities to engage residents' physical, cognitive, and social well-being; maintain a safe living and working environment; contribute to the positive and professional image of the home; report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition; assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities; establish links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.
Shift pattern

Shift pattern details: Alternate weekends. Shift hours vary.
