Job summary

Pyramid8 is seeking an experienced health and social care professional to lead and develop a team of Social Workers and Assistants. The role includes supervision, case management oversight, and acting as the regional safeguarding lead across Yorkshire and the North East.

You will manage a small caseload when needed, including assessments, welfare benefits advice and practical support, while building strong cross-sector relationships and driving service improvements.

About you

Open to applications from experienced Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other appropriately qualified and currently registered health and social care professionals who have managed people.

You will need:

• Experience of leading or managing a team within a health and social care setting
• Experience working with older people and/or people with disabilities
• Community-based social care experience
• Good knowledge of the welfare benefits system
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
• Current professional registration with the relevant regulatory body
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

The role is based in Northumbria, with travel across Yorkshire and the North East for client visits, team meetings and events. Candidates based within the North East may be considered for a more hybrid arrangement, with at least one day per week in the Pontefract office.
