Qualifications

  • Knowledge of compliance with ISO, ASME, and DefStan standards.
  • Willingness to undertake further training including CSWTO certification.
  • CSWIP 3.0 Visual Weld Inspection is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full welder training and qualification process.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections and coordinate NDE and destructive testing.
  • Develop and deliver training programmes across multiple welding processes.
  • Ensure documentation meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Support welders to achieve certification and excellence.

Skills

Strong knowledge of welding processes: MMA, FCAW, MIG/MAG, and TIG
Excellent communication skills
Computer literacy
Attention to detail
Understanding of quality control

Education

City & Guilds Craft Apprenticeship in Fabrication/Engineering or equivalent
Completion of CSWIP Weld Instructor courses and exams
