Job description

Welding QC Inspector - Teesside (Contract Position)

Start Date: November 2025

Contract Duration: Full-time, 6 days per week – until end of January

Engagement: Outside IR35

Location: Teesside

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and on-site construction/installation activities.
  • Verify welding parameters, consumables, procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder qualifications.
  • Review and confirm suitability of welding equipment, pre‑heating, heat treatment, and repair processes.
  • Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is accurately collected, verified, and filed for as‑built records.
  • Raise and document non‑conformance reports where required, and support corrective actions.
  • Monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with approved QC/Inspection Test Plans.
  • Maintain adherence to Quality Control Plans and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained and properly recorded.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Welding QC Inspector within the Oil & Gas or similar heavy industrial sector.
  • Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or equivalent.
  • Proven background in welding inspection and Quality Control processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
