Welding QC Inspector - Teesside (Contract Position)
Start Date: November 2025
Contract Duration: Full-time, 6 days per week – until end of January
Engagement: Outside IR35
Location: Teesside
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and on-site construction/installation activities.
- Verify welding parameters, consumables, procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder qualifications.
- Review and confirm suitability of welding equipment, pre‑heating, heat treatment, and repair processes.
- Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is accurately collected, verified, and filed for as‑built records.
- Raise and document non‑conformance reports where required, and support corrective actions.
- Monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with approved QC/Inspection Test Plans.
- Maintain adherence to Quality Control Plans and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained and properly recorded.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Welding QC Inspector within the Oil & Gas or similar heavy industrial sector.
- Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or equivalent.
- Proven background in welding inspection and Quality Control processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
