A leading engineering firm in Birmingham is seeking a Welders Mate for a 12-month prestigious industrial project. The successful candidate will assist skilled welders in fabricating large-scale structures, handling materials, and maintaining safety in the work area. Experience in a similar role and a good understanding of welding equipment are essential. Competitive pay structure includes an hourly rate of £18.74 for the first 40 hours per week, with overtime at £23.21 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Welders Mate or in a similar role.
• Must have a CSCS card.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders with preparation and setup of materials.
• Handle and position steel components for welding.
• Use tools to cut, grind, and prepare surfaces.
• Ensure safety and tidiness in work areas.
• Follow site safety procedures at all times.

Experience as a Welders Mate
