Job summary

Paneltex Ltd in Kingston upon Hull is seeking a Welder Fabricator to interpret technical drawings, plan fabrication, and ensure quality within deadlines. The role involves cutting/joining metal parts with MIG, plasma, arc welding and related tools, while maintaining safety and site cleanliness.

Hours are 40 per week, with a 32-day annual leave provision, life assurance, parking and staff discounts. DOE salary starts at £14 per hour and benefits reflect ongoing production needs.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematics skills.
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols and blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to operate welding tools like ox-fuel, plasma, mag-drills and chainsaws.

Responsibilities

• Follow Company H&S procedures and support improvement initiatives.
• Plan production schedules with the department supervisor/Manager.
• Liaise with non-production departments to ensure support is appropriate and effective.
• Adhere to design, production and Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain records of work and inspections to support accounting.
