In this role, the successful Welder/Fabricator Manager or similar will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of the welding/fabrication department. To do this, you will be responsible for planning workloads, ensuring effective communication/adherence to both company and safety standards, as well as keeping accurate technical documentation of jobs worked etc. In addition, you will also be responsible for the oversight of equipment maintenance, ensuring all tools are in a safe working condition and serviced as required. On top of this, you will also be seen as a hands‑on leader, performing welding/fabrication tasks as and when needed. Finally, you will be responsible for implementing plans and procedures to ensure the optimisation and continued improvement of the welding/fabrication department.

The ideal Welder/Fabricator Manager or similar will have a background in the metal fabrication/welding industry, as well as having previous practical experience in both MIG and TIG Welding. In addition, you will also have previous experience in a supervisory/management or a related role. On top of this, you will also have an understanding of CAD software, with the ability to read/interpret technical drawings. Finally, you will have strong organisational communicational skills.
