Colchester, Essex - Welder Fabricator - Up to £16.00/hr DOE

Shifts: Monday - Friday (08:00 - 17:00)

Full time, permanent position. Hours: Monday - Friday (08:00-16:30). Competitive hourly rate up to £16/hr depending on experience.

Opportunity to work in a well‑equipped workshop on challenging, bespoke projects. Training and support to grow your skills. Friendly, collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • MIG welding to high standard
  • Operating press brakes / brake press machinery
  • Using guillotines for metal cutting
  • Proficient with hand tools and power tools
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings to produce accurate fabrications
  • Working as part of a team to manufacture acoustic/thermal enclosures and related metalwork
Requirements & Skills
  • Experience in MIG welding and fabrication
  • Ability to operate press brakes, guillotines, and similar metal forming machinery
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to follow them
  • Use of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail, quality and finishing
  • Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work as part of a workshop team
