Job summary

WEC Group Limited is seeking skilled MIG welders to join our fabrication team in the UK. You will weld and fabricate mild steel components, read engineering drawings, and produce high‑quality parts to deadlines.

The role covers day and night shifts with structured hours and a range of valuable benefits. You will join a busy workshop focused on varied engineering and fabrication projects.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience and fabrication skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must be able to work to deadlines in a workshop environment.

Job description

DAY SHIFT WORKING HOURS

Mon – Thu: 7:00am – 3:45pm

Fri: 7:00am – 11:30am (early finish every Friday)

NIGHT SHIFT WORKING HOURS

Mon – Thu: 19:00pm – 7.00am (Fri, Sat, Sunday off)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• MIG welding
• Fabrication of mild steel components
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Producing accurate, high-quality welded parts
• Supporting workshop production and fabrication output

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE (ESSENTIAL FOR APPLICATION)

• Strong fabrication experience
• Confident MIG welding skills
• Ability to work to deadlines in a workshop environment

DESIRABLE SKILLS (NOT ESSENTIAL)

• TIG welding experience
• Stainless steel welding experience
