Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in manufacturing and HGV engineering/fitting.
  • Good practical ability working to a high standard for new installations.
  • UK Driving Licence (C+E preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and build specialized road marking equipment on HGV Chassis.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.
  • Participate in final post-paint assembly of equipment.

Are you an experienced HGV/Plant/Crane Technician looking to take the next step in your career?

WJ is the leading Roadmarking and highways safety company within the UK, we are an industry leading, innovative manufacturer of vehicles and equipment, striving towards exceptional health and safety standards throughout the group in all aspects of our work.

WJ are currently looking for a HGV Welder / Fabricator who can join our team in Elland. Responsibilities include working to designs / specifications, fabricating and building to our specific vehicle types and the various uses of our HGVs.

What you will do:
  • Contribute to the initial layout and fabrication of specialised road marking equipment mounted on HGV Chassis
  • Future design and development of vehicles and other road marking equipment
  • Routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles
  • Be involved in final post paint assembly of equipment
What will you bring to the team?
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • A good timekeeper
  • A good understanding of plant and vehicle systems is preferred
  • Must have demonstrable experience in manufacturing and HGV engineering/fitting
  • Be a good team player
  • Flexible to carry out other duties as required
  • Good practical ability working to high standard for new installations
  • UK Driving Licence (HGV not essential but preferred)
Working Hours

Working hours are 8am to 5pm with overtime available and required occasionally depending on current workloads and targets.
