Caterpillar’s Peterlee facility is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join a state-of-the-art team. You will work on high-precision components, earning competitive hourly rates across day, evening, and night shifts, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Welding or equivalent qualification.
• Proven MIG welding experience with ability to pass a trade test.
• Experience using overhead cranes and jigs in heavy industrial setting.
• Strong safety-first attitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work rotating shift patterns (Days, Backs, Nights).

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision MIG welding on specialized fixtures and heavy-duty components.
• Work to tight tolerances where quality and safety are priorities.

• Day Shift Rate: £19.55 per hour
• Afternoon Shift Rate: £23.46 per hour
• Night Shift Rate: £26.39 per hour
• Overtime 1.5 Rate (Mon-Sat): £29.33 per hour
• Overtime 2.0 Rate (Sundays): £39.10 per hour

Shift Patterns

• Days: Monday to Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 | Friday, 08:00 - 12:30
• Back Shift: Monday to Thursday, 16:00 - 00:00 | Friday, 12:30 - 17:00
• Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 00:00 - 08:00 | Friday, 17:00 - 21:30
