Job summary

Beagle Aircraft Ltd. is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for its Christchurch site to join the Sheet Metal team. You will perform precision TIG welding on aerospace components using aluminium, steels and titanium, working from drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.

You will be responsible for welding quality, documentation, adherence to procedures, and maintaining equipment to support NADCAP standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven TIG welding experience, ideally within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Able to weld aluminium, steels and titanium, including thin-gauge materials.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, processes and safe working practices.
• Experience with brazing and aerospace welding requirements; NADCAP experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, precision TIG welds on aerospace components.

• Complete job documentation and data cards per Company procedures.
• Inspect own work for weld quality, accuracy and compliance.

At Beagle Aircraft, we manufacture precision-engineered components and assemblies for demanding aerospace applications.

We're looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join our Sheet Metal team at our Christchurch site.Carry out precision TIG welding on aerospace components, including thin-gauge aluminium and titanium.Work accurately from engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications.Produce and complete job documentation and data cards in accordance with Company procedures.Inspect your own work to ensure weld quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications.Maintain high welding standards and support NADCAP welding audits.Ensure welding activities are completed safely, efficiently and within production deadlines.Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organised working environment.Support other areas of the Sheet Metal and manufacturing operation when required.

Proven TIG welding experience, ideally within aerospace or precision manufacturing.Experience welding aluminium, steels and titanium, particularly thin-gauge materials.Relevant welding qualifications and coding experience.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.Knowledge of welding techniques, processes and safe working practices.Experience with brazing and an understanding of aerospace welding requirements.Previous experience working to NADCAP standards would be highly advantageous.Knowledge of resistance welding, sheet metal fabrication or fitting would be beneficial.
