Salary: £30,879.79 per annum / plus Veolia Benefits

Hours: 46 hours per week, on a Rolling Rota

Shift Pattern: 4 on 2 off Rota, this includes weekend and Bank Holiday working other than December 25th, December 26th and January 1st.

What you\'ll be doing
  • Operate the weighbridge to weigh vehicles accurately as they enter and leave the site.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all weighing transactions, including vehicle details, weights, and material types.
  • Generate weight certificates or receipts for drivers and stakeholders.
  • Manage data input using computer systems or manual logs to ensure all information is recorded correctly.
  • Ensure that vehicles comply with weight limits and are not overloaded.
  • Perform regular checks on the weighbridge equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions.
  • Communicate with drivers and site personnel to provide instructions and ensure smooth traffic flow.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed in the weighbridge area, including proper vehicle positioning and visitor sign-in procedures.
  • Compile daily, weekly, or monthly reports for management review.
  • Maintain a clean and organized weighbridge office and surrounding area.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations and company procedures.
  • Any other reasonable management requests
What we\'re looking for

Essential

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team, with clear communication skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Great attention to detail with sound organisational skills.
  • Strong IT skills

Desirable

  • Prior experience working with weighbridges / specific weighbridge knowledge
  • Experience with Elemos, or other Weighbridge software, highly advantageous
  • Experienced in record keeping and data-entry
