Job summary

CVS Vets 24/7 Hillsborough is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Patient Care Assistant to support our RVNs and Vets in delivering compassionate animal care. The role is part-time with weekend shifts and a share in the Bank Holiday rota.

Based at 50 Old Coach Rd, Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, BT26 6PB, the job offers pay at the National Minimum Wage, five weeks' annual leave pro rata, staff discounts, and wellbeing support as part of our CVS Vets team.

Qualifications

• Animal care and handling experience required.
• Experience in customer service and public interaction.
• Ability to support RVNs and Vets in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients.
• Assist Vets and Nurses with animal restraint.
• Walk, feed, and clean patients.
• Prepare emergency and operating facilities.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance.
• Run internal lab samples.
• Answer emergency calls.
• Support reception with bookings and payments.
