Job summary

Encompass in Galashiels seeks a part-time personal assistant to support a gentleman on Saturdays and Sundays. Responsibilities include morning back care, medication prompting, dressing, meal support, and evening assistance with tea. PVG/References are required, and hours are flexible within weekend blocks of 45 minutes morning and around 6.00pm.

The role values reliability, independence support, and clear communication to maintain daily routines and safety during visits.

Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector is desirable.
• Friendly and reliable with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Wash back and reapply cream.
• Assist with wearing clean clothes.
• Support with breakfast and tidy up.
• Prompt and supervise medication intake during visits.
• Support with main meal and tidy up.
• Wash area at teatime and reapply cream/pain relief gel.
