Job summary

Spire Clare Park Hospital in Farnham is seeking a friendly Host & Catering Assistant to join our catering team on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this patient-facing role, you’ll help create a positive experience for patients, visitors and colleagues by delivering high-quality meal services and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. Primarily supporting weekend services, you’ll also have opportunities to pick up additional shifts to cover annual leave and other absences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, healthcare or customer service is desirable.
• Friendly, approachable and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and refreshments to patients in a professional and caring manner
• Take meal orders and support dietary requirements where appropriate
• Assist with food preparation and presentation
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and infection prevention
• Support stock management and replenishment
• Work closely with Catering, Facilities and Clinical teams
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, visitors and colleagues
