1 in 4 Weekends. Saturday and Sunday 8-hour shifts.
This role is ideal for vets looking to gain ECC experience alongside an existing position. Many of our weekend vets combine a weekday role elsewhere with shifts at PetMedics, enabling them to develop their emergency and critical care skills within a busy hospital environment. We are happy to support candidates looking to build their ECC exposure in this way.
Accommodation is available, and there may be opportunities to increase contracted hours in the future through additional weekday shifts as they become available.

PetMedics is a thriving, multi-site veterinary group made up of a state-of-the-art 24-hour hospital, a fully refurbished first-opinion practice, and a dedicated consulting branch. The team consists of 37 veterinary surgeons, many of whom are already Certificate Holders or working toward certification. They are supported by an exceptional group of Certificate-holding RVNs, patient care assistants, and receptionists who all share the same commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

You will be joining a highly experienced and diverse clinical team that includes Certificate holders in emergency and critical care, surgery, medicine, imaging, dermatology, dentistry, ophthalmology, cardiology, and clinical pathology. The wider hospital provides round-the-clock veterinary and nursing coverage, including multiple ECC Certificate holders, and nurses with advanced diplomas in ECC, anaesthesia and surgery, medicine, and nutrition.
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our Weekend ECC team. Seeking a role with more ECC exposure? ECC experience would be desirable but not necessary as we would support those looking to gain experience.
Confidence in consultations and basic surgeries is essential. We would also consider certificate holder.
