Job summary

A community-based health service in Strabane seeks weekend domiciliary care workers to assist adults at risk in their homes. Qualifications

• Full valid driving licence and access to transport for work purposes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• 6 months experience in a formal care setting.
• NISCC registered or willing to undertake registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal and domestic care to adults at risk in their own homes.
• Assist service users with personal hygiene and domestic tasks.
• Encourage service users to participate in daily activities.
• Maintain accurate information in line with company policies.

Skills

Full valid driving licence

Good written and oral communication skills

Understanding of health and safety

Experience in a formal care setting

NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent

NISCC registered or willing to undertake

Knowledge of domiciliary care minimum standards

Flexibility
