Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cleaning Operative at Cuthbert House Approved Premises in Gateshead. You will perform cleaning across kitchens, toilets and communal areas, with periodic deep cleans as directed, on Saturdays and Sundays for 3 hours each day.

Training will be provided and you’ll follow health and safety procedures while interacting respectfully with residents and staff. A reliable, detail‑oriented approach and good communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across the site.
• Clean kitchens, toilets and communal areas.
• Carry out periodic deep cleaning as directed by supervisor.
• Replenish essential supplies and maintain stock levels.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely following health and safety procedures.
• Report faults or hazards to the team.
