Merlin Entertainments at The York Dungeon in York, UK is seeking a Weekend Custodian/Cleaner. You’ll keep the venue clean, litter-free and presentable for guests, including staff areas and toilets, plus laundry for costumes. You’ll open the building and prep shows for guests, with full training provided.

The role involves lone working, weekend shifts 06:30–10:30, and potential weekday shifts. A high standard of cleanliness and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning to a high standard.
• Comfortable working alone and without direct supervision.
• Available for weekend shifts and occasional additional weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Keep the attraction clean and litter free for guests.
• Clean staff areas and toilet facilities; handle costume laundry as needed.
• Open the building and prepare shows for the next arrivals; follow training.
• Conduct periodic facilities checks and use cleaning products safely.
• Report health, safety or technical issues to the Duty Manager.
• Work independently with good attention to detail.
