Sodexo is hiring a Weekend Cleaner at Astral Grove Approved Premises in Hucknall. The role focuses on keeping communal areas clean, maintaining hygiene, and supporting a welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Shifts run Saturday and Sunday for 6 hours per week, with mornings 7am–10am or 8am–11am. Applicants must be 18+, with security vetting conducted by Sodexo and on‑site training provided.

Responsabilités

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across communal areas, the dining room, offices and bedrooms.
• Maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Replenish essential supplies, including toilet rolls, hand soap and sanitiser.
• Follow infection control, COSHH, health and safety and site security procedures.
• Use cleaning products, equipment and personal protective equipment safely.
• Report faulty equipment, safety concerns and maintenance issues to your supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support cleaning across other areas when required.

With three hours each morning on Saturday and Sunday, this role offers a regular weekend commitment while leaving the rest of your day free.

About the setting

Approved Premises provide temporary residential accommodation for people on probation, including individuals leaving prison who require enhanced supervision and support as they return to the community. They offer a structured environment that supports rehabilitation and helps residents move towards independent living.

You may come into contact with residents while carrying out your cleaning duties, so you’ll need to feel comfortable working in this environment, treating people respectfully and following site security, safety and confidentiality procedures.

Due to the nature of the environment and the resident group, applicants must be aged 18 or over.

What you’ll do

• Complete scheduled cleaning tasks across communal areas, the dining room, offices and bedrooms, keeping each space clean, hygienic and welcoming.
