Job summary

A leading home care provider in Shrewsbury is seeking Weekend Care Professionals to deliver companionship and personal care to clients in their own homes. The position offers flexible weekend working options including every other weekend. No prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided. Expect a pay range of £12.60 - £13.60 per hour and benefits including paid travel and ongoing support from a dedicated management team.

At Home Instead Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Wem, we are recruiting Weekend Care Professionals to support clients in their own homes across our local area, with flexible weekend working options including every other weekend to support a healthy work–life balance.

Job Description

You will provide practical support and companionship, including:

Companionship and emotional reassurance

Personal care support and daily routines

Medication prompts/support (where required)

Mobility support and assistance with outings

Meal preparation and light household tasks

Qualifications

Training and development

No experience is required — full training is provided. You will complete a structured induction and ongoing learning, with the option to undertake accredited training in Dementia Care and End of Life Care. We also provide financial and educational support towards recognised Health & Social Care qualifications.

Pay and benefits

£12.60 - £13.60 per hour (higher rates available with completed NVQ levels)

ALSO -Paid travel and wait time as well as 35p per mile mileage.
