Job summary

Bayne’s the Family Bakers is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant for the Lochee Shop in Dundee. This weekend role is 10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours, and pays up to £12.93 per hour plus benefits.

You’ll prepare and serve customers, manage displays, handle pre-orders, process payments, stock shelves, and answer customer queries. The ideal candidate has previous food retailing experience, strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and cash handling ability.

Qualifications

• Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go (preferred).
• Great communication skills.
• A positive attitude and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve customers with a range of bakery and food to go products.
• Set up and maintain counter and window displays.
• Deal with customer pre-orders and process payment and paperwork.
• Take payment for goods using electronic tills and processing by cash and card.
• Stock shelves with products.
• Answer queries from customers and give product guidance.
• Report discrepancies to the management team.
• Cleaning of shop and facilities.
