Overview

Fantastic permanent opportunity for a talented and experienced Web Designer to join a Global award-winning Digital Media Business located in West Sussex.

The Web Designer role is to support the design and development of the company's and customers' web platforms.

Responsibilities

Playing a pivotal role in UX and UI design, the Web Designer will collaborate with the Senior members of the team and the wider digital team to create and design user‑centric, responsive and accessible solutions, translating design ideas into intuitive interfaces that optimise user journeys.

You will possess a great understanding of web design and have a passion for creating user‑focused, innovative and engaging digital experiences. Conducting user research and analysing data to enhance design decisions, creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows to visualise concepts.

Designing responsive, high‑quality UI layouts aligned with brand guidelines, developing designs using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and prototyping tools, collaborating with developers to ensure smooth design‑to‑code implementation, and presenting designs to gather feedback and refine concepts.

Skills, experience and attributes required
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Web Designer within a commercial office setting
  • Degree educated
  • Experience of converting designs into HTML/CSS (SASS is preferred)
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Strong design skills and high‑quality UI layouts
  • Strong understanding of UX Principles, accessibility, standards and responsive design
  • A strong background in graphic design, ideally with a passion for bringing brands to life
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • Collaborative team player
  • Happy to also work on your own and be accountable for your own work
  • Creative mind with a high attention to detail
