Job Title: Weapons Engineering Instructor

Location: Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute

We are seeking an experienced Weapons Engineering Instructor to join a leading defence training organisation, delivering critical training programmes at a major Royal Navy site near Helensburgh. In this role, you will share your expertise in submarine tactical weapons engineering systems, ensuring Royal Navy personnel are fully prepared to safely operate and maintain weapon handling systems across the submarine fleet. Your work will directly contribute to the UK’s defence capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver both classroom and simulator-based instruction — primarily focused on Astute Class platforms
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support training design, review, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain training governance through accurate reporting, documentation, and assurance processes
  • Act as a technical contact for stakeholders and training-related
  • Uphold safe systems of work and compliance with all relevant standards and procedures
